Today 3rd August, I&M Bank Rwanda handed over cheques to the first two winners of the Kira campaign. The Kira campaign (I&M Riches) was recently launched as an account opening and electronic services usage drive. The three-month campaign is targeting retail and SME customers across the country.
The managing director of I&M Bank, Robin Bairstow, said they are creating opportunities for clients to use the firm’s services.
“Clients have to know their electronic delivery channels such as e-banking, e-water, visa cards. We want to increase distribution of our cards such that they get used to our digital products,” Bairstow said.
Customers within the latter segments who open accounts during the campaign period don’t only receive free additional services like free visa cards, free online and mobile banking, but they also stand a chance to win weekly cash prizes and a grand prize all totaling up to Rwf 15 million.
Today Jeane Mukakabanda and Nathan Mugisha were announced winners and each walked away with a cheque of Rwf1m.
Mugisha said he had developed a saving scheme to buy a plot of land worth Rwf 3 million. “With this money, my dream is going to be achieved,” he said.
To participate in the promotion, interested salaried individuals or business owners are entitled to visit the nearest I&M Bank branch and register. The campaign is ongoing and eight lucky winners for the next eight weeks will be recognized as well as a winner of a grand prize of 5million at the close of the campaign period.
