  • Robin Bairstow - Chief Executive Officer

    Robin was appointed as CEO in September 2015. He is an experienced Corporate Banker and has a successful track record with over 25 years in the financial services sector with both domestic and international banking organizations. Prior joining I&M Bank, he held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank NA, BOE Bank and Nedbank across Central Africa, East Africa and South-East Asia.Robin is a graduate of the South African Merchant Naval Academy and holds a CIBM (SA) and a  Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester.

  • Faustin Byishimo - Division Head - Business Development

    Faustin is the Bank’s Division Head – Business Development and Executive Director . In his current role, he oversees all business segments of the Bank i.e. Retail Banking, Business Banking and Corporate Banking and Product Development. He has served the bank for over 13 years under different managerial positions. He has in-depth operational and strategic management experience that was acquired through various top level assignments within the Bank. He previously worked in Finance, Internal Audit and headed the Branches Network Operations. Faustin has also worked as a senior auditor with BRALIRWA Ltd, a Heineken Group Operating Company. He holds a BBA in Accounting.

  • Paul Sagnia - Chief Operating Officer

    Paul joined the services of I&M Rwanda Plc as the Project Consultant in charge of our Core Banking System change in June of 2016. Following a successful migration to the new Finacle 10 system in September of 2018, Paul has been appointed Chief Operating Officer effective 1st of May 2019. Paul joins us from Standard Chartered Bank where he served in senior positions in several countries across the Standard Chartered Bank foot print in Africa. He is a dedicated banker with a strong flair for innovation and management of banking operations and the use of I.T in banking acquired during a career spanning 38 years.

  • John Gatasha - Head of Projects

    John has worked with I&M Bank Rwanda for the last 18 years. In this time he has served the bank in a variety of positions. He started out as an accountant and has gradually risen through the ranks to the position of Chef of Finance Officer and now as the Head of Projects. In this role his responsibility relates to  overseeing all the ongoing projects within the Bank and managing all support units such as procurement, fleet management, archives and property management.

  • Alfred Baguma - Head of Credit

    Alfred is the Head of Credit and has served the bank for over 15 years. In this role, he ensures that credit portfolio is adequately managed through independent processes, effective portfolio management, maintaining the portfolio quality and full adherence to internal and statutory guidelines and procedures. Prior to his current position, Alfred was Head of Leasing and Business Banking. He also worked as a Credit Review Team Leader and Leasing Manager. He Holds an MBA from Maastricht School of Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the National University of Rwanda (NUR).

  • Benjamin Mutimura - Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking

    Benjamin is the Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, and has served the bank for over 10 years under different managerial positions. He has in-depth strategic management and operational experience that has been acquired through various top level assignments within the company that include: Finance, Internal Audit, Branches Operations, Business Development, Marketing and Retail.

  • Lena M. Militisi - Company Secretary

    Lena is the Bank’s Company Secretary. She previously served the bank as Head of the Legal Department for 11 years. She is a lawyer who obtained her law degree from the University of Saint Louis in Brussels and got her master of private law from University of Toulouse I. In 2004, she was recruited as Legal Advisor attaché to the cabinet of Minister of Finances and Economic Planning in this role her job involved ensuring that terms of contracts are respected and would take part in negotiations to ensure conformity to national regulations. She then moved to the position of Treasury Counselor within the same  Ministry.

  • Diana Kwarisiima - Head of Human Resources

    Diana was appointed as Head of Human Resources in 2014. She has been with the bank for over 10 years and in that time has worked fundamentally within every field of HR – Training and Talent management, Administration, Payroll, Employee Relations, as well as deputizing for the Head of Human Resources. She is responsible for implementing the Performance Management System, resourcing, talent identification and developing reward structures to meet the requirements of the Bank.

  • Nicolas Uwimana - Head of Legal

    Nicolas holds a Master degree and Bachelor degree in Law respectively from the University of Turin, Italy and the University of Rwanda. He joined the bank in 2009 and served as Deputy Head of Legal. Before joining the Bank he worked for the Public Sector where he served as Legal Adviser at Rwanda Public Procurement Authority and Legal Expert in the Procurement Reform Task Force within the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.  Nicolas has 13 years experiences (in both public and private) where he has been involved in legal drafting; Contract drafting and reviewing; taking part solving conflicts, and regulatory investigations.

     

  • Cynthia Rwamamara - Head of Internal Control and Compliance

    Cynthia is the Head of Internal Control and Compliance with over 10 years’ experience in the Rwandan banking industry mainly in the fields of audit, compliance and risk. She joined the bank in 2009 as the Deputy Manager in the Internal Control and Compliance unit until June 2016 when she was promoted to Head of Internal Control and Compliance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences from the National University of Rwanda and is pursuing ACCA currently studies.

  • Lise Mugisha - Chief Risk Officer

    Lise is the Chief Risk Officer. She is responsible of the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management in the Bank. Lise has experience of 4 years in the Banking industry and over 7 years’ experience in the fields of Risk Management, Audit, and Internal Control. Prior joining I&M Bank Rwanda, she worked with EY (Ernst & Young) as an Auditor in the Assurance and Advisory services. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies and she is currently pursuing ACCA studies.

  • Delphine Mushashi - Head of Business Banking.

    Delphine is the Head of Business Banking. She has more than 17 years’ experience in the banking industry and she joined I&M Bank in 2005 and has served the Bank in different capacities until she was promoted to Head the Business Banking Department. As Head of Business Banking, Delphine is responsible for growing and maintaining the Bank’s SME portfolio through products design, deals structuring and SME policy development. She holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Mount Kenya University and is currently pursuing Certification as a Professional Banker.
